Madeleine Durham
I am a painter of unique abstracts, landscapes, and floral mandalas. I grew up in New Mexico and come to painting by way of my work as an archival paper designer for fine bookbinders. I've developed a painting process that has a tranquil quality and is strikingly unique. My papers are in private and public collections around the world including the paper archives in the Watson Library at the MET.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.

As a native New Mexican I am inspired by the vast meandering landscapes, the magical quality of the light, and the rich vibrant colors which shift dramatically from morning to night, and season to season.
I began my technique as a decorative paper creator using acrylic paints mixed with an archival paste. Originally called paste papers, I now use my media in a painterly technique that I have develpoed over the years in a series of very happy accidents.
